Looking from the seaside, Stiniva is closed in by two high rocky cliffs which, at their closest point, are just four meters from each other. Between them appears a pebble beach but only after sailing through the ‘gateway’ does it open out like a Roman amphitheater auditorium paved in stones. The beach can be reached from the mainland and it takes more than twenty minutes, but be prepared because the road is not that good for everyone.

There is a long lagoon with a wide pebble beach beneath a small, abandoned village of Zaraće, situated on the very top of rocky cliff resembling a pirates’ stronghold. We point out to the lovers of deep waters that in these parts of Hvar picturesque submarine scenery is found. There are several restaurants. Zaraće can be accessed by boat or car.

Bol Brac is known for its Zlatni rat beach (Golden horn) and it is unique in the world. Like a little tongue it extends out nearly half a kilometre at a right angle to the sea. The tip is of this renowned beach is constantly changing shape due to the effect of the waves and currents. Measurement have shown that every year Zlatni rat gets longer. The total surface area of the beach is 19.900 m² while the wooded part is 8.600 m². The beach is two kilometers from the centre of Bol Brač. The promenade to the beach is also paved, and you can also reach Zlatni rat by boat or a tourist train.
